HANOVER COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — One of the suspects accused in the murder of a Hopewell cab driver has accepted a plea deal.
Dyshawn Simpson plead guilty of first degree murder.
Simpson’s other charges have been dropped. He was originally charged with first degree murder, abduction, malicious wounding and arson.
Simpson was sentenced to life in prison for his role in the murder.
Alisa DeJesus, who is also charged in the murder, is set for a jury trial in December.
