CHESTERFIELD, Va. (WRIC) — Police have made an arrest after a Chesterfield barber was assaulted on July 11.
Officers responded to an incident in which an adult male victim reported being assaulted by another adult male. The altercation was captured on video and the victim was able to identify his attacker, who is known to him, according to authorities.
A friend of the victim reached to 8News and told us the assault left his friend unconscious. He said the barber was taken by ambulance to a local hospital, where he received staples in his head.
The investigating officer obtained a warrant for felonious assault for that suspect, 23-year-old Eugene F. Grainger Jr. of the 7500 block of Zimalcrest Court, was arrested on Tuesday.
Grainger was released on bond.
