RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Police have made an arrest after a 6-year-old girl was struck by a vehicle on Monday evening
Police say the hit-and-run happened at 4:38 p.m. in the 2100 block of Littlepage Street. The child was leaving an ice cream truck and was getting ready to cross the street when she was struck.

She received scratches and bruises, was treated and released, according to Richmond Police.
Authorities later caught and charged a suspect, who police have identified as 45-year-old Linwood Eddleton, of the 2800 block of Wellington Street. Eddleton’s vehicle was located on N. 20th St. by a Richmond Sheriff’s deputy 30 minutes after the incident.
Eddleton has been charged with felony hit and run.
