BLACKSBURG, Va. (WRIC) — Virginia Tech and Ohio State University will honor the WDBJ journalists who were killed on live television during their season opener Monday night at Lane Stadium.
The two teams will display these honorary helmet stickers with Alison Parker and Adam Ward’s initials along with the #7 for WDBJ’s station number.
The teal on the sticker was Parker’s favorite color. The maroon is in reference to Ward’s affiliation with VT, where he graduated from in 2011.
The game comes on ESPN tonight at 8 p.m.
