HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Police are investigating a home invasion in Henrico.

Authorities say that officers were called to the 200 block of Ewing Court around 4:15 a.m. Tuesday. The victims reported that two males entered the residence armed with handguns and began to assault the victims. The suspects then fled the apartment, according to police.

The suspects have been identified. Outstanding warrants have been filed for burglary while armed, assault, malicious wounding, and discharging a firearm within a building.

Police say the home invasion is related to another incident that happened earlier Tuesday morning in the 00 block Old Sellers Way.

The victim in this case reported to police that several shots were fired into her home around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday. Apparently the victim had been involved in an ongoing dispute over a relationship, police said.

Luckily, there were no injuries suffered in this incident.

Detectives were able to develop a suspect and warrants are on file for shooting into an occupied dwelling and possession of firearm by convicted felon.
