RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Arguments for a case surrounding former delegate Joe Morrissey were heard Monday. No decision by the court was made.
Prosecutors requested an appeals hearing on a lower court’s dismissal of Morrissey’s felony perjury and forgery charges in Henrico.
Morrissey had been previously facing charges of fabricating a document that he presented as evidence in December, when he was convicted of contributing to the delinquency of a minor involving a 17-year-old girl. Then, a Henrico Circuit Court judge dismissed the four perjury and forgery charges against Morrissey in early April.
