RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Police are investigating after a participant in the upcoming UCI Road World Championships had his bike stolen from a Richmond hotel on Thursday.
At approximately 6:30 p.m., the male in the above photo is suspected of removing a bicycle from inside the Marriott hotel located in the 500 block of East Broad Street.
The bicycle, valued at over $10,000, belongs to a member of Team Netherlands.
A picture of the bicycle, a Specialized S-Works, is also pictured above. The bike is black in color with white lettering.
The suspect was wearing a fedora, jean shorts, a white t-shirt and tennis shoes during the time of the robbery. He is believed to be a 35-40 year old male weighing roughly 190 pounds.
