SELMA, Ala. (WIAT)- The Selma Police Department is investigating a shooting that happened Sunday morning at a church where three people were injured.
Dallas County District Attorney Michael Jackson says a man walked into the Oasis Tabernacle Church around 11 a.m. and fired shots at his girlfriend child, her baby and the church’s pastor.
The mother and baby were taken to a hospital in Birmingham for treatment. The names and conditions of the victims have yet to be released.
The shooter has been identified as James Minter who will face three counts of attempted murder which carries twenty years to life for each charge.
Minter is being held with no bond. He is being processed at the Dallas County Jail.
