RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Armstrong High School will be closed Tuesday, September 29 due to mechanical issues within the air conditioning system at the school.
The school says the air conditioning system cannot be maintained at a comfortable temperature to keep students and staff safe.
“We are actively working to resolve this issue and expect that the system will be fully operational by tomorrow afternoon. We will keep you informed of any changes or further decisions if necessary,” said Richmond Public Schools.
Grab and go lunches will be available for Armstrong High School students between 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
“We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience and understanding at this time,” said Richmond Public Schools.
