RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — A section of Richmond International Airport closed for roughly two hours Tuesday evening after a man became disruptive and took off his clothes.

According to RIC spokesperson Troy Bell, a man entered the airport and wanted to buy a ticket with cash. He then became disruptive and stripped down to his underwear. Bell added there was a language barrier.

The man was taken by police for a mental evaluation.

The upper level drop off-zone at the airport was closed for roughly two hours while Henrico’s Explosive Ordnance Disposal team invested three bags the man left behind.

Investigators blew up the unattended bags left by a man who became disruptive at RIC Tuesday evening.
