COLUMBUS (WCMH) — Facebook will soon allow short videos to be used as profile pictures.
The new feature is one of the new mobile-friendly features announced by Facebook Wednesday.
The social network will soon start testing the feature, which will allow users to use a short looping video clip that will play for anyone who visits the user’s profile.
Facebook also plans to introduce temporary profile picture filters that revert back to the original picture after a period of time.
Other features announced include the ability to pin photos to the top of the profile, easier visibility controls for profile information, a new 100 character bio field and centered profile pictures in the new mobile layout.
A small number of users in the UK and California will begin testing the features immediately. Facebook expects to roll out the changes to more people soon.
