RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — All that steady rain has forced the water level at the James River to be higher than usual. Flood stage is 12 feet – the James River is expected to crest at 11.3 feet at around 5 p.m. Sunday.
Are the levels high? Yes, the levels within the city limits are higher than usual, but since they are staying under the 12-foot mark, it shouldn’t be anything to worry about.
It should be noted that things are looking different depending on where you are. As we continue to monitor the James River in Richmond, we want to see what it looks like where you are. You can send us your pictures to ireport@wric.com.
