RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — We continue our streak of rainy, raw weather, but the good news is that there is an end in sight. The heaviest of the rain has shifted west and today we can expect more showery type weather with periods of rain on and off.
Temperatures on Saturday will be a bit warmer than our high Friday of 55 degrees. Look for highs in the middle 60s for Saturday and much of the same for Sunday.
As we head into Monday, the rain comes to an end and some slow, gradual clearing begins to work in as the sluggish storm system pulls off to the northwest. As for Hurricane Joaquin, it is still not an issue in our forecast – the track of the storm keeps it well off the coast and out to sea. From Tuesday onwards we can expect sunshine and dry weather as well as temperatures recovering into the upper 70s.
COASTAL FLOOD WARNINGS: Up until 6 a.m. Monday for tidal areas along the James River in the hours on either end of high tide. Low lying areas may see moderate flooding.
