RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Get ready for some the chilliest weather we have seen here in Central since the late March and early April.
There will be the potential for frost over the area later this weekend and into early next week. Right now, the greatest threat will be Sunday night into Monday, although west of US-522 it could possibly be early Sunday morning. As we are now at the end of the growing season, this does not pose as much of a problem as in early spring. Plants that you are planning on bringing inside for the winter should be making that trip tomorrow.
Tonight will be clear with lows in the lower to middle 40s. Saturday and Sunday will start with sunshine and then a few clouds brew up in the afternoon. Highs will be 60-65 on Saturday. Sunday will start with lows in the mid to upper 30s, while Sunday’s highs will only be in the middle 50s. Sunday night lows in the coldest areas could fall to near 28-30, while most of us stay between 31 and 35.
Monday is sunny with a high in the mid 50s. By Wednesday, highs will be back into the 70s for us. A cold front that looks to be rather limited on moisture will arrive at the end of the week.
