BRENTWOOD, Tenn. (WKRN) – One of the prolific bowlers in the country lives right here in Middle Tennessee and is only 17 years old.

Kamron Doyle, of Brentwood, has broken national records since the age of 11.

He’s one of the most recruited athletes in the United States across all sports.

“Technically, I’m an amateur bowler still,” he told News 2 Friday. “I’m not considered a professional yet.”

Doyle said he can officially join the Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) once he graduates from college.

“I started bowling when I was 6 years old. From that moment on, I loved it and I had to beg my parents to take me back to the bowling center,” he said.

About 3 years later, Doyle says he started getting serious about bowling, competing in tournaments and bowling leagues.

Then at the age of 12, things “really got serious.”

“I was the youngest to make the cut at a PBA event,” Doyle said.

He’s played with Team USA through the United States Bowling Congress for five years now, and says it’s been the best experience of his life.
