ROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — A number of different foods have been recalled by their manufacturers because there’s a chance they can cause serious illness if consumed.
Dole announced a recall of bagged spinach this week because the spinach may be contaminated with salmonella.
The recall affects Dole Spinach displaying the codes A27409B and A27400A, with an enjoy by date of Oct. 15.
No illnesses have been reported so far. Dole has already contacted retailers and is in the process of confirming that the recalled products are being removed from shelves.

Whole Foods Market is recalling cheese sold in all stores nationwide because it has the potential to be contaminated with Listeria, which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children or elderly people.
The Organic Roquefort Papillon cheese was cut and packaged in clear plastic wrap and sold with the Whole Foods Market scale labels. The product can be identified by the label that begins with PLU 029536.
Whole Foods has received no reports of illnesses.

Lastly, Skipanon Brand Seafoods is recalling all of its canned seafood products nationwide because it has the potential to be contaminated with Clostridium botulinum, a bacteria that can cause life-threatening illness or death.
Consumers are warned not to use the product, even if it doesn’t look or smell spoiled.
The recalled products include any with production codes starting with OC. The products are packaged in metal cans, with net weights ranging from 5.5 oz. to 66.5 oz.
