Richmond City Hall treated for bed bugs again

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Richmond City Hall was treated for bed bugs on Friday for the second time.

A spokesperson from Mayor Dwight Jones’ office sent a statement to 8News, which read in full:

I have confirmed that an area on level G was treated for bed bugs on Friday. It is the same area that was treated before involving a cubicle in the Department of Information Technology.

Several employees in the affected area were given the option of working from home via telecommuting if uncomfortable being around the chemicals used to treat the area.”

Bed bugs were also reported at City Hall in a cubicle within the I.T. Department in October 2014.
