RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — There’s yet again a substantial chill to the air when you step out the door this morning, but not AS COLD as where we were yesterday morning.
The area of high pressure responsible for an abundance of sunshine over the past few days has begun to shift east and offshore, this afternoon our winds will open up out of the southwest bringing in warmer, more seasonable air to replace the autumn chill that has set in. As a result expect a very pleasant day to unfold, sunny skies and highs approaching seasonal averages right around 70. Tonight with clear skies temperatures will dip back into the low to middle 40s before warming up into the middle 70s by Wednesday afternoon.

Thursday will be our warmest day as we turn breezy out of the southwest ahead of a cold front that will roll through here dry late that evening dropping temperatures back into the 60s to wrap up the work week.
Looking further out we see some rain chances approaching by the beginning of next week. Have a great day and enjoy the return of the warmer, more comfortable air!
