RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Friday’s high school football action produced a handful of surprising outcomes and impressive performances.
The upset of the week has to go to Meadowbrook, which entered Friday with a sub-.500 record and handed No. 5 ranked Thomas Dale a 23-14 loss.
And then there’s Highland Springs, which shutout a ranked opponent (Henrico, 21-0) for the third week in a row.
And what about Hopewell? The Blue Devils were favored to beat Matoaca, but no one saw Hopewell running away with a 37-0 victory.
