Cooler temps on tap for this weekend; rain chances on Wednesday

The grip that high pressure has over us will lessen and lessen through the day today as it slides further offshore. Look for sunshine to start off your Saturday with more high clouds towards evening. Seasonable temperatures today though, highs will max out in the middle to upper 60s.

A cold front is approaching the area from the west and will arrive by tomorrow morning, ahead of it clouds will continue to lower and thicken through the overnight hours.Showers likely from mid-morning onwards through the late afternoon. Slow clearing takes place into early Monday morning with partly cloudy skies likely by the afternoon and much cooler temperatures as highs only make it to around 60.

The remnants of Patricia, the massive hurricane impacting parts of Mexico will become just a remnant low pressure system but it will get picked up by the jet stream and moisture from that storm will impact us here with rain, heavy at times on Wednesday. Incoming high pressure from the northwest boots that system out of here before it can become hung up and we see clearing take place quickly by mid-morning on Thursday.
