PETERSBURG, Va. (WRIC) — The Essilor Vision Foundation’s Kids Vision for Life Mobile Vision Clinic Tour will make its way through Petersburg to provide vision services to elementary children in need.
Conexus for Healthy Vision, a partnering organization of Essilor Vision Foundation, provided vision screenings to approximately 671 children in Petersburg. Based on referrals to the mobile clinic, 202 students are anticipated to be offered exams and/or glasses.
Elementary children will receive a free eye exam and glasses, if necessary, from a licensed optometrist at no charge to parents. The tour will provide to students who otherwise wouldn’t have access to quality vision services, school officials say.
The mobile clinic will make a stop at all elementary schools in Petersburg.
