RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — We will start the day off with sunny skies across central Virginia but a few clouds will push up from the south giving us a mix of sun and clouds to partly sunny skies over the region.
It will be another mild day with highs around 70. Our skies will remain partly cloudy tonight and it will be comfortably cool with lows in the middle 50s.
Thursday will be a nice day with partly sunny skies and highs in the middle 70s.
The warmest day of the week will be on Friday as we could push up to near 80 under partly sunny skies.
A cold front will approach the region by Saturday morning which will quickly spread clouds into central Virginia and the chance of showers by late morning and early afternoon. This will not be heavy rain, but certainly it will be persistent enough to make it wet. Temperatures on Saturday will climb to near 70 ahead of that front.
That front will clear out later Saturday night and early Sunday allowing for the sunshine to return on Sunday but it will be much cooler with highs in the upper 50s.
More sunshine is expected for Monday through Wednesday of next week with temperatures climbing back to normal, which is the middle 60s.
