CHESTER, Va. (WRIC) — A community meeting is planned Thursday night to discuss traffic increases near the Amazon warehouse.
The Amazon distribution center off Meadowville Technology Parkway will be hiring thousands of extra workers for the holiday rush, which could also mean thousands more cars in the area every day.
“Last year, the traffic was heavy,” area resident Issac Johnson told 8News in 2014. “They were lined up, cars, were lined up from there all the way down to the store,” he says.
That meeting gets underway at 6:30 p.m. at Elizabeth Davis Middle School.
