HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — A man has been arrested after a pedestrian was struck in Henrico on Thursday night.
Police responded to the crash involving a single vehicle and a pedestrian. The driver of the vehicle was traveling on Brittles Lane. As the driver passed through the intersection of Carlisle Avenue, an older white male walked into traffic, causing the vehicle to hit the pedestrian.
The pedestrian was transported to VCU Medical Center for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
The pedestrian, 74-year-old William Martin Evans, was charged carelessly walking across the highway. Police say Evans was also under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident.
