Still hot, but not as humid today; evening storms possible Thursday and Friday

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — The cold front that brought some thunderstorms to the region last night has now moved off of the coast.

The good news is it has turned our winds to the north which means that we will have slightly less humid air moving back into the region under mostly sunny skies. We will still see our high temperatures top out near 90. It will be mainly clear tonight and a little more comfortable with lows in the middle to upper 60s.

Thursday and Friday will feature partly sunny skies and it will be hot and a little more humid with highs in the lower 90s. We will have to watch for a few afternoon and evening thunderstorms.

As we head into the weekend a weather system will be moving out of Kentucky and head our way. This system looks to bring more clouds on Saturday with rain developing. We might even have a few rumbles of thunder and it will be cooler with highs in the middle 80s.

That system will clear out so the sunshine will return for Sunday with highs in the middle 80s.
