HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Henrico Police arrested and charged a suspect in a commercial robbery.
On November 16, officers were called to the 6000 block of West Broad Street for a commercial robbery. The victim told police that a white male entered the business, approached the counter and demanded money. The victim complied and the suspect fled the business.
Officers responding to the area located an individual matching the description, later identified as 43-year-old Jason Robert Sumner, and took him into custody.
Sumner was charged with one count of robbery.
Detectives are currently working to determine if Sumner is connected to the three previous commercial robberies which occurred in the last week.
