RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — High clouds will filter the sunshine a bit today but it will still be a mild day with highs in the middle to upper 60s.

More clouds will slide in tonight way out ahead of our next weather system and it will be a little bit warmer in the overnight with lows in the lower 50s.

Wednesday will feature mostly cloudy skies with highs in the upper 60s.

Rain will develop by Thursday morning and continue throughout the day. We could see between a half inch to an inch of rain during the day with highs in the upper 60s to near 70.  That system will quickly exit the coast Thursday evening and we will have partly sunny skies with highs in the upper 50s for Friday.

Saturday will be a sunny and cool day with highs in the middle 50s. Another cold front will come through the region later Saturday night and early Sunday and we will see a much colder day on Sunday under partly sunny skies. Highs will only climb to near 50 and there is even a chance of a shower.

Looking ahead to next week, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday look to be sunny and dry with highs in the lower to middle 50s, which is great for some of the busiest travel days of the year, as we approach Thanksgiving.
