HOPEWELL, Va. (WRIC) — Volunteers with the American Red Cross are supporting a family of eight after they were displaced by a house fire in Hopewell on Wednesday.
The Red Cross says the fire broke out at a home in the 300 block of Allen Avenue.
“Our team met with the family and is providing them with food, clothing, shoes, lodging and transportation assistance,” said Red Cross Communications Officer, Jonathan McNamara. “We will continue to follow up with the family over the days to come to track their recovery.”
