Richmond Ambulance Authority to hold free car seat check Tuesday, Wednesday

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — The Richmond Ambulance Authority would like families travelling out of town for the holiday to make sure they have secured their most precious cargo securely before they leave – their children.

“Nothing is more important that the safety of our children and we cannot stress enough that a correctly fitted car seat is a must before any journey takes place, no matter how far,” says Liz Papelino, RAA’s Logistic Manager and lead Child Passenger Safety Seat Technician.

In conjunction with AAA Mid Atlantic, RAA will be holding Car Seat Safety Check stations to help those that need to have their seats checked on Tuesday, November 24 at Walmart, 2410 Sheila Lane, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. and on Wednesday, November 25 at Target, 7107 Forest Hill Avenue, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Authorized Child Passenger Seat Safety Technicians will be available to check seats or boosters for those that attend.
