CHICOPEE, Mass. (Mass Appeal) – While you’re enjoying a delicious Thanksgiving Day feast…so can your dogs! Shawn Sherry, Owner of Paw Street Barkery in Chicopee showed us how to make a Pupsgiving Dinner.

Pupsgiving Dinner

Equipment
Oven
Sharp Cutting Knife
Baking Pan
Dry Measuring Cups
Liquid Measuring Cups
(2) Saucepans
Vegetable Peeler
Cutting Board
Large Mixing Bowl
Mixing Spoon

Ingredients:
8oz of turkey
2.5 cups of water
3/4 cups of rice
2 small carrots
1 cup of green beans
3/4 cup of peas
1/2 cup of cranberries

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350F.
Place the turkey onto the baking sheet and bake for 30 minutes or until the turkey is no longer pink throughout.
Bring 1.5 cups of water to a boil and add the rice.  Let the rice cook on low for 40 minutes, or until all of the water has been absorbed in.
Peel the carrot and cut both the carrot and the green beans into 1″ pieces.
To the second saucepan, add the remaining water and bring to a boil.  Once boiling, add the cut up carrots, green beans and the peas.  Cook for 5 minutes and then drain.
On the cutting board, cut the cooked turkey into 1″ cubes and place aside.
In the large mixing bowl, add the turkey, rice, vegetables and the cranberries.  Mix together until uniform.
Allow the mixture to cool and then serve.
This will make approximately 3-4 servings.  Refrigerate any remaining up to 3 days.
