RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — A group of Richmond-based citizens, architects and developers are proposing a new vision for The Diamond on the Boulevard.
Calling itself the ‘Save The Diamond Committee,’ the group is proposing to transform the existing Diamond baseball stadium into “a 21st century minor league ballpark.”
The proposal also includes a multi-use development plan for the property that can provide needed significant tax revenue to the City of Richmond.
Committee representatives include Harry H. Warner, Jr. as committee chairman, Randy Holmes of Glavé & Holmes, and Steve Terrill of AECOM. They plan to present their ideas to the media and the public on Wednesday, December 2 at 2:00 p.m. at the Richmond Public Library’s auditorium, 101 East Franklin Street.
