Washington D.C. (WRIC) — On Friday night, the White House was lit up in pride colors to celebrate the Supreme Court’s decision on same-sex marriage.
“The White House was lit to demonstrate our unwavering commitment to progress and equality, here in America and around the world,” a White House official told ABC News. “The pride colors reflect the diversity of the LGBT community, and tonight, these colors celebrate a new chapter in the history of American civil rights.”
The White House Twitter avatar was also changed earlier in the day to reflect the pride colors.
