RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Finally, the rain has moved out and the clouds are clearing.
Sunny skies will return to central Virginia today and it will be cooler with highs in the lower to middle 50s and we will have a decent northwest wind at 10 to 15 mph adding a bit of a chill to the air. Our skies will be clear tonight and it will be cold with lows in the lower 30s.
Friday will be a very sunny day with highs in the middle 50s. Friday evening will be perfect for the Grand Illumination with temperatures in the upper 40s when we flip the switch to light up the James Center and all of downtown Richmond. Friday night will be another chilly night with lows in the lower 30s.
Saturday and Sunday will be delightful with highs in the upper 50s to lower 60s under sunny skies.
Another weather system will push up from the Carolinas on Monday, spreading clouds and eventually rain over the area.
The rain will last through the day on Tuesday before moving out. Right now it looks like highs for Monday and Tuesday will be in the lower 50s with the clouds and rain around.
