ROCKBRIDGE COUNTY, Va. (WSLS) – A man believed to be armed and dangerous is on the loose in Rockbridge County.
Police are searching for 35-year-old William Evan Hall, 8News sister station WSLS reports. He is wanted in connection to an incident that reportedly happened Friday night.
Due to the search for Hall, Rockbridge County Public Schools will be closed Monday, December 7.
The decision to close school was announced early Monday morning. School leaders say they will continue to stay in contact with members of the Sheriff’s Office.
The investigation into this incident resulted in the following felony warrants issued against Hall:
- Attempted Capital Murder
- Use a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony
- Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
- Shoot at a Law Enforcement Vehicle
- Eluding a Law Enforcement Officer
He is also wanted on a felony warrant out of Lynchburg for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
Hall has not been arrested and is believed to still be in the Route 501 area just south of Buena Vista.
Hall is described as 6 feet tall, 175 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a grey hoodie and a grey coat. He may have changed clothing and could possibly be wearing tan coveralls.
Police are asking the public to secure all vehicles and homes. Residents are asked to report any suspicious activity to police. Call 911 immediately if you see Hall.
