FREDERICKSBURG, Va. (WRIC) — Police are investigating an armed robbery that took place last Friday, December 11 at 8:26 p.m. at the RD Mart (Shell Gas Station) on Route 3 in Fredericksburg.
Authorities say that a clerk reported he was alone in the store when an unknown male entered the store with a firearm. The suspect demanded the clerk to open the register and give him all the money. The clerk opened the register and placed the register drawer on the counter. After taking all the money out of the register drawer, the suspect fled the store on foot in the direction of Mahone Street.
The suspect is described as a white male, around 6 foot to 6 foot 2 in height, 140 to 160 pounds, with brown eyes, wearing a black mask, black pants, black gloves and a black jacket with a hood over his head.
The investigation is ongoing.
