Alexander Hill indicted on 4 counts of murder

PETERSBURG, Va. (WRIC) — Alexander Hill, Jr., the man accused of murdering four people in one family, was indicted by a Petersburg Grand Jury this morning on four counts of 1st-degree murder. A pre-trial motions hearing has been set for Tuesday, Dec. 22. No trial date is set yet.

On April 19, 2014, Pauline Wilkins, her daughter Vicki Chavis, her grand-daughter Missy Chavis and her 2-year old great-grandson all died in their Harding Street home. The home was set on fire. Investigators say two family members died from smoke inhalation and two others were stabbed.Hill was the prime suspect in the case and police were searching for him for more than a year.

Hill was arrested last April at a soup kitchen in Buffalo, N.Y. U.S. Marshals said Hill had a fake ID and had been going by the name of Trent Dales.
