RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — The Washington Redskins can clinch a playoff spot if they beat the Philadelphia Eagles next Saturday in Philadelphia. The Redskins, behind four touchdown passes from Kirk Cousins, topped the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, 35-25.
The Redskins were not a preseason favorite to win the NFC East, in fact, most prognosticators had them finishing last. Injuries and poor play by division rivals Dallas, New York, and Philadelphia, along with improved play as the season progressed, has the 7-7 Redskins in control of their own playoff destiny.
