HOPEWELL, Va. (WRIC) — It took crews nearly 45 minutes to put out a fire at a motel in Hopewell Wednesday night.
The incident occurred at approximately 6:45 p.m. at the Riverside Inn in the 700 block of West Randolph Road. Units from Chesterfield were called in to assist.
A Hopewell fire official told 8News that one of the rooms was fully engulfed when crews arrived.
Crews are still working to determine a cause of the fire. We are told that one person was displaced, but has been moved to another room in the motel.
