CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Police have arrested two suspects in relation to a December 30 robbery.

Police said a man, who was armed with a handgun, entered the Circle K at 11800 Ivey Mill Road at about 11:20 p.m. and demanded money, cigarettes and lottery tickets. After receiving the items, the suspect fled.

No one was injured in the robbery.

At about 11:40 p.m. on Dec. 30, a blue sedan with a man and a woman in it entered the parking lot of the Wawa at 11021 Iron Bridge Road. A few minutes later, the woman from the vehicle entered the store and cashed several lottery tickets that were stolen from the Circle K. At one point, the man also entered the store.

On Jan. 5, police released surveillance photos of the woman and the man who was with her. Tips from the public helped detectives identify the pair as 28-year-old Sarah M. Smith and 37-year-old Terrell Tarver.

Tarver, of the 11400 block of Corte Castle Road in Chesterfield, was charged with robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony in relation to the robbery. He was arrested on Wednesday, Jan. 6, and is being held at the Chesterfield County Jail without bond.
