RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Cold air will continue to filter down into central Virginia on northwest winds.
We will see our highs climb into the middle 30s today but with the 10 to 15 mph wind it will feel more like the middle 20s. The winds will diminish tonight and our temperatures will drop into the upper teens and lower 20s under clear skies.
Thursday will be a sunny day with highs in the upper 40s to near 50.
Friday will start off sunny but clouds will quickly move in as a weather system comes up from the Carolinas. This system will spread rain showers into the region beginning on Friday evening and it will last into the early morning hours on Saturday. By mid-morning Saturday, the rain will come to an end and we will see partly sunny skies return and it will be mild with highs around 60. Cooler air will return on Sunday with highs in the upper 40s under partly sunny skies.
Another arctic front will push into central Virginia for Sunday night and early Monday morning and that will keep our highs in the middle 30s for Monday and Tuesday under sunny to partly sunny skies.
