RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Early sunshine this morning will be filtered behind clouds today and that will make for a chilly day with highs around 40.
Our skies will be partly to mostly cloudy this evening and tonight with overnight lows in the upper 20s.
More clouds will be with us on Tuesday, ahead of a weak weather system that will be pushing in from the Ohio Valley. Highs on Tuesday will top out in the middle 40s. Some rain showers are very likely Tuesday night into Wednesday morning, but as the colder air works in behind this system, there might be a change-over to light snow during Wednesday, but not really anything significant to give us any accumulation.
That system will slide to the east later Wednesday night and our skies will clear out. Thursday will be a decent day with partly sunny skies and highs in the lower 40s.
Friday is another day to watch, as one of our weather models tries to develop another storm to make a run at us from the south. The timing is such that this could bring us either a mix of rain and snow or just all snow. The problem is that some of the other long range models don’t even hint at this storm, as in they don’t have it at all! So at this point this is just “Something to Watch.”
