CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Two adults and one juvenile were arrested Wednesday morning following a brief pursuit that began on I-95 in Chesterfield County.
The incident began at around 9:50 a.m. at the southbound rest area at mile marker at the 108 after Virginia State Police received a report of a larceny from a vehicle in Caroline County. A description of a 2015 GMC Arcadia was given, and troopers observed the vehicle I-95 south bound at Chippenham Parkway. When the troopers activated their emergency lights to initiate a traffic stop, the GMC proceeded away at a high rate of speed.
Troopers lost sight of the vehicle, however minutes later received a report of a crash in the 5900 block of Omo Road in Chesterfield County. The GMC had struck a parked vehicle and another ehicle in the driveway of a residence; both vehicles were unoccupied.
The three occupants fled the scene on foot. With the assistance of the Virginia State Police Aviation Unit and Chesterfield Police, all three suspects were apprehended without incident in the 5900 block of Omo road.
The two adults who were taken into custody have been identified as 18-year-old John Louissant and 19-year-old Timothy Johnson. Both men are from Fort Lauderdale, Florida and are being charged with 39 counts of unauthorized possession of credit cards. They are being held without bond.
A male juvenile is also being held for outstanding warrants, with additional charges pending in Caroline County.
