RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — The Richmond Police Department confirmed Monday that two men have been arrested in connection a homicide that occurred in the city’s northside back in June.
On Saturday, June 27, police found 22-year-old Kempton D. Moore dead near a school playground on 1st Avenue. It was determined he suffered a fatal gunshot wound.
Police on Monday confirmed that 19-year-old Malik D. Mangum of the 2300 block of Second Avenue and 19-year-old Raekwon M. Woolfork of the 1600 block of Hickory Street were arrested in connection to Moore’s murder.
Woolfork was sentenced to a total of 12 years in prison for second-degree murder and firearm charges. Mangum was sentenced to two years for conspiracy to commit robbery.
