PASADENA, Md. (WRIC/AP) — A baby was left on the side of the road Sunday and her mother has been charged with child neglect, officials said.
Officials with the Anne Arundel County Police Department say Sandra Clara McClary is also charged with reckless endangerment after her three-month-old daughter was found just before midnight in a scuffed carrier in Pasadena after a resident called to report the abandoned child.

McClary is accused of taking the infant out of her car and leaving her there.
“Scuff marks on the carrier and other debris indicate that the carrier may have fell off of a moving vehicle,” police wrote in a Facebook post.
Police said McClary initially told investigators that the little girl’s father was supposed to have her, but neither of them where the child was. Investigators later determined that the mother had allegedly had the girl with her in a vehicle in Pasadena, but removed the child from the vehicle and left her on the side of the road, police said.
The baby was taken to a local hospital after she was discovered and is in good condition. She is in the custody of the Department of Child Protective Services.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing. Anyone with information can contact the Anne Arundel County Police Department at 410-222-6145.
