RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — The VCU Massey Cancer Center “Plank Off” is happening Friday night at Stony Point Fashion Park. 8News’ Amy Lacey is emceeing the event.
In case you don’t know what a plank is — it’s an exercise where you balance on your forearms and toes.
Pure Barre Studios in the near West End and Short Pump has teams in place — with each competitor seeing who can hold this difficult pose for ten minutes.
Cancer patients, survivors and supporters are on hand for this public showdown of strength.
All proceeds from this evening’s event benefit women’s cancer research and the Women and Wellness forum series at Massey.
