DETROIT, Mich. (WOOD)–Michigan movie fans excited to see Jake Gyllenhaal back on the big screen were in for another surprise on Sunday.
Gyllenhaal and Detroit native Eminem surprised hundreds of fans when they showed up to an advance screening of their new movie, “Southpaw” in metro Detroit.
Gyllenhaal stars as Billy “The Great” Hope in the movie, which documents his rise to the reigning light heavyweight boxing champion of the world.
Eminem is the film’s executive producer and created two original songs for the movie – “Phenominal” and “Kings Never Die.”
“Southpaw” will make its box office debut nationwide July 24.
