2 arrested in connection to Ashland gas station robbery

ASHLAND, Va. (WRIC) — Police have arrested and charged two people in connection to last weekend’s robbery at a gas station in Ashland.

At roughly 9:10 a.m. on Sunday, Ashland police officers responded to an armed robbery at a gas station located in the 500 block of South Washington Highway. Police say the suspect produced a handgun and demanded an undisclosed amount of money.

After a lengthy investigation, warrants for robbery and the use of a firearm during the commission of a felony were obtained for 31-year-old Antonio Savage of the 1800 block of Springton Road. Additionally, warrants for conspiracy to commit robbery and grand larceny were obtained for Wendy Novak, 32, of the 1700 block of Rockwood Road in Richmond.

Both Savage and Novak are in custody and being held at Pamunkey Regional Jail.
