RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Police are investigating after a male victim was shot in Richmond’s Fan District Thursday night.
Police responded to the call at around 8 p.m. and found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg in the zero hundred block of South Meadow Street. Police say the shooting took place two blocks west in the 2100 block of West Cary.
The victim was transported to VCU Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
Police say the suspect is a black male in his early 20s who was possibly wearing a white tee shirt. They are unsure of a motive at this time.
