CHESTERFIELD, Va. (WRIC) — Virginia State Police were on the scene of a overturned tractor trailer Interstate 95 northbound at the 61 mm in Chesterfield on Wednesday.
The tractor trailer overturned around 11:25 a.m. on I-95 north at mile marker 61.4 near Route 10 and Route 288. The left lane and left shoulder are now open, according to VDOT.
The truck was hauling dry ice.
According to the Virginia State Police, the driver of the tractor trailer was Brian M. Whitfield, 33 of Petersburg. He and a passenger were transported with non-life threatening injuries. They both were wearing seat belts.
Whitfield was charged with reckless driving and driving on a suspended operators license.
