CHESTERFIELD, Va. (WRIC) — Fire crews are actively battling a house fire this morning in Chesterfield.
Officials are on scene at the home, located in the 18500 block of Genito Road.

Fire officials say the family was not in the home at the time of the fire. They live in newly built house behind it and were in the process of demolishing the house that caught fire.
It took more than 40 minutes for firefighters to get the blaze under control. The home is still on fire as of now, but is considered under control.
